Pity & serindipity

The accident in Bajpe is very unfortunate. The pilots were well experienced, visibality was good, and runway was, though said to be challenging one, working since 2006 with minimal hiccups. Reports so far tell that accident have taken lives of two, three, many members of many families. One was coming to see his son who was admitted in hospital and one family of five preponed their journey so that their son can join college. It is really pity to see or hear so much of pain. But all accidents, whether bus or train or boat, have their share of heart breaking stories. Here story is highlighted by the media and will be highlighting for many more days and weeks to come as big money is involved.
In Dubai, it is said that gold rates are nearly 40% cheaper compared to India. This is despite of decontrolling of gold by the Indian government. Indians, from the ancient times, are kniwn to hoard gold & naturally biggest consumers of gold. All flights leaving Dubai to India are known as gold flights, as many, though not all will be carrying as much gold as possible. Some will be carrying on their body as ornaments and some as luggage. With accident evreything, passangers bodies, luggage, valet, cash, plastic money, is reduced to ashes but not the gold. Some people(remember not all) who reached the accident site in the garb of volunteers made good with glittering stone(it is common to loose your valuables if you meet with accidents!!!). It is a serindipity for them as they got gold when they went in search of bodies. One question lingers in my mind - did they went their to help the needy or in search of El-dorado?.
