Refuses to fade away

Today morning I was looking for a shirt to wear. One pink shirt was in the forefront. It is usually considered as sissy to wear pink colured clothes. This particular shirt was choosen by my kid for me while shopping apparels for her. It was looking fabulous on me(as told by others, but I always felt that uneasy feeling ). in fact it was not old at all. Today when I saw that shirt, it seems to have faded.
Pink and light blue and light green colours though look great fade very fast. It was my experience (or my opinion?).
Some people around us, may be friends, parteners, classmates, neighbours, colleagues, whom we thought are mindboggling are like pink and light green. We think, because of their attitude,they are going to make big difference to the society or in the field they work or to the environs they live. But they fade away or vanish into thin air. But some people whom we thought as ordinary(even colours also) and they refuse to fade. They are and will be making difference in the environs they live. Do we call this as perseverance?.
