In the recent past, last two pages of all newspapers are filled with news about football world cup.
I watched and followed 1990 football world which was held in Italy. In fact couple of us used to announce odds in the hostel . In that world cup, Cameroon came from nowhere and were playing aggressively. They created such a flutter for sometime and evrybody started believing that they are going to win the cup. But final, which was rematch of the previous world cup, was played between Germany(west) and argentina. It was said to be world cup with least goals. Argentina played very badly(my interpretation).
That was the last of the intensely followed, watched team sports by me.
I have become so stranger to these sports that even I don't know when the current world cup starts and ends etc...
kaka, familiar name thanks to shahul, is seen in all newspapers. Is he going to sail or sink?. Is Ronaldo going to hit as many goals as girlfriends he has?.
