In India, black and white/fair basically refers to complexion and I think, not color in the real sense.
Was krishna a black or just dark complexion guy ?. Even Rama was also considered as black or dark complexion(?) guy who was not a Bhrahmana. Whereas Ravana was a Brahmana. The war was fought between a brahmana and a non brahmana !!!.
Dravida and Aryan races are amorphous things which was/is used rhetorically by polaticians (either Karunanidhi or Hitler) for their advantage and others disadvantage(in a lighter sense) !!.
To be honest this Dravida and Aryan thing is very much complicated for an amaeteur like me.

About Black and White people in India, this is my thougt. The Dravidians were
dark coloured and they were the original inhabitants of India around the
fertile gangetic plane, history goes back beyond 10,000 BCE,and the present
day tamilian and I am not sure what percentage of southern India are
considered descendants of the Dravidian culture.
The Dravidians were pushed down by the Aryans, the light coloured people who
brought Prakrith /Sanskrit/pali to India and these are the people who
occupied the Ganga Planes and the Ramayana(10,000 BCE) and MahaBharatha(4000
BCE) followed.Interestingly contrary to the general beleif KRISHNA WAS
BLACK,(word Krishna means Black) belonging to the Golla community.May be he
was the Smart dravidian who lived in the north????
That's the reason Tamilians claim that they are the original Indians and
probably southern Indians are the original Indians and the script of Tamil
is different and not related to sanskrit etc.
The Aryans apparently were from Persia. The Assyrians around the present day
Iraq the cradle of civilization -Mesopotamia and the Indus valley
civilization are considered contemporaries,no clear evidence to proove that.
One fact is for sure the OLDEST RELIGION IN THE WORLD IS
DRAVIDIANISM-HINDUISM.
Its fascinating to read the history of the world/.I like this
discussion, please contribute and correct if I am wrong.
